Description: The Eberlin Lab at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral research fellow with experience in computational statistics, machine learning, and software development. Our research group develops mass spectrometry techniques for molecular imaging of cancer tissues. Using machine learning algorithms, we develop predictive models from large metabolic datasets integrated into software applications for real time cancer diagnosis. The candidate should have experience with scripting programming languages including, but not limited to, Python and R, in addition to development of graphical user interface applications. Proficiency with a broad spectrum of unsupervised and supervised learning techniques is expected. The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in several research projects in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine and Stanford University to continue developments in these areas.
