North Carolina State University (NC State) invites applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). The position is at the assistant professor level, although applicants with proper qualifications may be considered for appointment at other ranks. Candidates are expected to have a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. We are seeking applicants with expertise in data science and analytics, including application of domain knowledge for “big data” problems as well as linking data analytics to advanced statistical inference and decision making, although applications will be considered in other areas. The expected start date for this position is Fall 2018. Salary will be competitive based on qualifications.
