Biostatistics Faculty at Johns Hopkins

This year, the Johns Hopkins Department of Biostatistics is recruiting for tenure-track positions with rank commensurate with experience.  We are looking for talented, energetic and articulate colleagues who seek to advance statistical and data science with applications related to public health and who show promise as educators. We also are seeking to cultivate a diverse faculty and are particularly eager to review the applications of female and under-represented minority candidates. An announcement of the position is attached. We would be grateful if you would bring our search to the attention of senior graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or recent alumni of your program.

Today Hopkins Biostatistics comprises 23 tenure-track faculty and approximately 45 PhD students working in an apprenticeship model of graduate education.  We define statistics broadly from foundations of inference, through methodology, applications and data science.  Every new faculty member has an opportunity to become a tenured professor, without any pyramid considerations.  Our research and intellectual environments are stimulating and supportive.  We pride ourselves on providing mentoring and resources empowering faculty to flourish.
