Cornell College – Tenure Track Assistant Professor

CORNELL COLLEGE ‘ The Department of Mathematics and Statistics seeks an individual committed to excellence in the undergraduate teaching of statistics and data science, and the desire to collaborate with students and faculty from other disciplines on problems of mutual interest. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to contribute both to the expansion of statistics and data science course offerings, and the vision and creation of majors in statistics and data science. The normal course load is six courses over the eight terms of the academic year, including a mix of introductory and advanced courses. Interest in engaging students in activities such as research, competitions, and internships will be seen as a plus. Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or data science, and demonstrated excellence in teaching is preferred. This is a tenure-track appointment to begin in the fall of 2020.
