The Department of Statistics at the University of Missouri invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions.
We seek creative statisticians with an interest in developing novel methodology that complements our strengths in spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, with application interests in environmental and/or ecological statistics. We also seek applicants with other methodological backgrounds who have a strong teaching and/or research interest in sports statistics and the application of data analytics to athletic performance optimization. Candidates for both positions should have a strong methodological foundation and have a demonstrated commitment to creating innovative approaches, theoretically sound methodology, and computational tools.
A doctorate in statistics or biostatistics or related field by August 15, 2024. Candidates will be evaluated on their teaching experience, their research potential, and communication skills.
