St. Edward’s University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure track position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, beginning January 2024 or August 2024. The successful candidate will work to develop and teach courses, maintain a program of scholarly activity that includes mentoring student research, and engage in professional service. They will also work with the Mathematics Department to assist with the development and launch of a new degree in data science. The typical teaching load is four courses per semester with opportunities for reassignment for research.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching MATH 3320 Applied Statistics
- Developing and teaching new courses in statistics and/or data science
- Teaching other mathematics courses as needed
- Academic advising
- Mentoring students in multi-year research projects
- Other duties as assigned
