University of Michigan – Multiple Statistics positions

The Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor is hiring for multiple open positions.  We have two regular TT positions open to all areas of statistics and data science, one at the Assistant Professor level (deadline Oct 20) and one at the Associate/Full Professor level (deadline Oct 1).  We also have a special TT opportunity at either Assistant or Associate level (deadline Oct 16) for those whose research and/or teaching, and/or service contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion, without regard to the candidate’s personal identity.  The department deadlines for regular positions are soft deadlines.   We also have an open lecturer position available for Winter ’24, but a Fall ’24 start is negotiable.  The lecturer position is open to holders of either Master’s or PhD degrees, and is expected to continue long term.   If you have questions about any of the positions, please email stat-posting@umich.edu.

We strongly encourage women and members of underrepresented groups to apply. The University of Michigan is supportive of the needs of dual career couples and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.   The Department of Statistics at Michigan has been placed in the top 10 Statistics departments in the US by multiple rankings and is a leader in many areas of modern statistics and machine learning.   To read more about the department, please visit  our website.
