Open Rank Professor in Data Science – UC Santa Barbara

The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position.

We are looking for individuals with a strong research agenda in Statistics with an emphasis on Data Science and demonstrated research and potential for teaching excellence. A record of (or potential for) collaborative research that leverages synergies within the Department and Division or links to the campus Data Science initiative is desired.

Responsibilities of faculty members generally include the development of an actively funded research program of the highest quality, teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, recruitment, supervision, and mentorship of graduate students, and participation in university service and professional activities.
