Assist/Assoc Prof of Biostatistics – East Carolina University

East Carolina University and the Department of Public Health invite applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Biostatistics.  There are two 9-month tenure track appointments with start dates of September 2024 and/or January 2025.
The organizational unit is the Division of Academic Affairs of the Department of Public Health at the Brody School of Medicine. Our Department of Public Health is committed to educating professionals and conducting research to improve the health of communities in our region and beyond. We practice a combination of science and social approaches to reduce disease and systematically address the multiple determinants of health. Our work is rooted in strong partnerships with the community, health and social services, industry and business and academia.
Eastern North Carolina has significant health burdens, especially in the rural, low-resource and racial and ethnic minority communities. Many of these issues are brought to light through environmental impacts in our region, such as natural disasters and climate change, and are impacted substantially by the social determinants of health. Addressing these health threats and the disparities that stem from them are the driving forces for our teaching, research and service.
