Postdoctoral Researcher – UT Southwestern Medical Center

The Quantitative Biomedical Research Center at the Peter O’Donnell School of Public Health, UT Southwestern Medical Center, offers an exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral fellow under the guidance of Dr. Peifeng Ruan. Our laboratory is at the forefront of computational biology, focusing on the integration of genomic data to advance our understanding and treatment of complex human diseases, such as cancers, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, etc. This position represents a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact research that aims to improve public health outcomes.

The selected candidate will engage in a dynamic research environment to manage, analyze, and interpret genomic data. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of novel computational tools, integrative data analysis, biomarker discovery, and contributing to manuscript writing. The fellow will work on projects in heart disease and/or Alzheimer’s disease research, showcasing their problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Experience in proteomics, single-cell data, and spatial transcriptome data leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
