We seek energetic statisticians or data scientists who enjoy working with students and are enthusiastic about teaching. Qualified applicants will have a PhD in Statistics or a closely related field, prior university teaching experience, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The position involves:

  • Teaching the equivalent of six quarter courses per year (on average two per academic quarter), primarily graduate-level courses in Statistics and Data Science.
  • Advising and mentoring students in our online and on-campus graduate programs.
  • Contributing to curriculum development.
  • Participating in research and scholarship activities in Statistics or Data Science.
  • Providing service to the department, institution, and profession.

We are a collegial department consisting of 17 tenure-track professors with a variety of research interests, five instructors, one visiting assistant professor, and approximately 15 PhD and 20+ MS students. In addition to our on-campus graduate programs in Statistics, we offer a popular on-line MS program in Data Analytics with around 70 students.
