THE OPPORTUNITY: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Idaho State University invites applications for a lecturer position (non-tenure track) at the rank of assistant, associate, or senior lecturer, to begin in Fall 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The key responsibilities of this position are to teach introductory corequisite statistics courses, other lower-division courses and/or intermediate-level statistics courses (approximately 12 credits/semester), and to provide service to the department, the college, the university, and the community (approximately 3 workload units per semester).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ● Master’s Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Statistics Education or a closely related area (must be completed prior to the start date)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ● Experience with various classroom instructional strategies, such as collaborative/active learning, that engage students in the learning process. ● Experience with or demonstrated potential to teach corequisite introductory courses ● Ability to teach intermediate-level statistics courses ● Ability to work with or experience working with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds ● Effective written and oral communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment
