The Department of Biostatistics at the Brown University School of Public Health is seeking exceptional candidates at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics on the Research Scholar Track to provide statistical leadership and expertise in study design and data analysis in research related to cancer and oncology. The position is jointly funded by the School of Public Health and the Legoretta Cancer Center in the Warren Alpert School of Medicine. The primary appointment is in the Department of Biostatistics, with a secondary appointment in the Legoretta Cancer Center.

Position Requirements: The new faculty member will be expected to develop a program of research in statistical methodology and interdisciplinary research related to cancer and oncology, and to work with leadership of the Legoretta Cancer Center (LCC) and the Department of Biostatistics to develop a shared resource for biostatistics for the Cancer Center. Specific duties would include collaboration with LCC investigators on funded research projects and newly-proposed projects, development of new statistical methods that address specific questions arising in cancer research, and eventually, scientific leadership of a biostatistics shared resource. Although the appointment is on the Research Scholar track, there are opportunities for teaching and student supervision in the Department of Biostatistics.
