Applications for this new post are invited from outstanding candidates in the field of statistics. Successful candidates will join an established and successful department and contribute to its research and teaching in statistics. The post is tenable from 1st September 2025.
You will have expertise and research interests in statistics, preferably combining with some aspects of machine learning and/or AI. You will have an established track record or trajectory of research at a level of international excellence and proven ability, as evidenced by existing publications, or potential to publish in top journals. You will also have a clear, well developed and viable strategy for future outstanding research that has the potential to result in world-leading publications.
You must have a completed (or nearly completed) PhD in statistics or other related area by the post start date. You will maintain an active research programme and contribute to the general work of the Department, including teaching courses in statistics and machine learning, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
