Multiple Tenure or Tenure-track Positions in Biostatistics – Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College

Two positions in Biostatistics are available in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College that are part of a targeted expansion of Dartmouth’s biostatistics faculty.

 

Full or Associate Professor Position

The Department of Biomedical Data Science and the Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC) in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth invite applications for a tenured or tenure-track appointment at the rank of Full or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to develop cutting-edge statistical and computational methods of direct relevance to an area of cancer research ranging from innovative/adaptive clinical trial design for translational or clinical research to high-dimensional statistics for genomics research, to collaborate with researchers in the DCC, and be able to construct generalizable solutions that can be applied to future problems. Applicants for this position must have earned a PhD or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics or a related discipline, and should have a successful track record of peer-reviewed publications. Assistant Professor Position

The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice and the Department of Biomedical Data Science invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Applicants working in any relevant area of statistics, including causal inference, innovative clinical trials, machine learning, network analysis and spatial statistics who also have strong computing skills are especially welcomed. The successful applicant will be expected to lead a portfolio of independent, methods-advancing work, drawing on collaborative relationships with members of the Dartmouth community for health services or policy questions requiring innovative statistical design and analysis approaches. Applicants for this position must have earned a PhD or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related discipline with the indication of long-term success as an independent investigator as evidenced by first-authored peer-reviewed publications within the field.
