Health Statistician job opportunity for recent graduates – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is currently seeking a Health Statistician for the Directorate for Epidemiology, Division of Hazard & Injury Data Systems, Statistical Support Branch. The program is open to graduates with bachelors or higher degrees awarded within the past 2 years or anticipated graduation within 90 days (there is also an exception for some veterans, see announcement for details).

The Statistical Support Branch plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing data systems that the CPSC uses to collect quantitative and qualitative information about deaths and injuries related to consumer products. Data from NEISS are utilized by the CPSC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other federal agencies, non-governmental researchers, hospitals, manufacturers, and consumers globally.
