Assistant/Associate Professor of Biostatistics – East Carolina University Public Health Department

The Department of Public Health at East Carolina University is currently seeking applicants for two tenure-track faculty positions in our biostatistics concentration. Candidates must have a Ph.D degree from an appropriately accredited institution in statistics, biostatisticsor related field, effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with researchers, effective teaching skills, and demonstrate potential for publication in peer reviewed journals. Expertise in biostatistics (i.e., medical or public health research) is preferred.

The statistician will teach graduate and undergraduate level biostatistical courses, collaborate with researchers in other fields by providing statistical support for grants and other projects, and will conduct his/her own research in statistical theory or methodology. As a faculty member, this person will be expected to serve on committees at the department, college and/or university level. This is a 9-month tenure-track appointment at the assistant or associate professor level. Job duties include
