Lecturer – University of Massachusetts Amherst

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics (www.math.umass.edu) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks an academic-year (9-month), full-time lecturer with expertise in mathematics or statistics. Although the initial appointment is for a fixed term of one-year, the position has the potential for an open-ended appointment after four years of full-time service. Lecturers at UMass Amherst enjoy significant benefits and status under the negotiated faculty contract (see Article 21 of the MSP/MTA/NEA contract linked on this page: www.umass.edu/provost/faculty-staff-resources/…). The lecturer will join a team of faculty noted for excellence and innovation in undergraduate education. The successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate-level. They will work with faculty and advising staff to assess student outcomes and foster student success.
