The person hired for this position will be Chief of the Survey Planning and Special Surveys Branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the design of statistical surveys to monitor health-related or health-care-related issues, and in science-based evaluations of survey data quality. Candidates should also have supervisory experience or shown the potential to be able to meet the supervisory requirements of this position.

Duties
As a Supervisory Survey Statistician, you will:
- Provide oversight and guidance in the planning, direction, and execution of surveys to monitor the health of the nation.
- Design and oversee a program of survey methods research to improve data quality and efficiency.
- Plan and direct the technical and administrative functions of the Survey Planning and Special Surveys Branch.
- Manage the work of the branch through team leaders and as a first-line supervisor.
- Prepare scientific reports and other documents, and present and convey scientific information at meetings and conferences.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with public health researchers and program officials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
