The University of Virginia, Department of Public Health Sciences, recruiting an open rank faculty position in biostatistics/statistics. This tenure-eligible faculty position will play a significant role in participating in collaborative research projects, developing independent high-impact statistical research, and participating in the department’s educational activities. The candidate will be expected to work within the Center for Early Phase Trials (CEPT) (Center for Early Phase Trials – Public Health Sciences (virginia.edu)) and collaboratively with investigators within the UVA School of Medicine. Applicants with methodologic or applied expertise in Bayesian methods for clinical trials, small sample predictive modeling or sequential analysis, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related quantitative field
- Experience collaborating on R01 or equivalent grant applications
- Teaching experience at the graduate level
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in the design and execution of adaptive clinical trials
- Proven track record of extramural funding
