The Biostatistics Research Branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is seeking candidates with a PhD in statistics or biostatistics. Statisticians in the group have three main functions: conducting independent research on statistical methodology, oversight of large collaborative medical studies, and collaborations with individual medical researchers. The problems are varied and interesting; opportunities include bio-defense, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, immunology, transplantation, vaccine development, bioinformatics, and overseas work on emerging infectious diseases.
Applicants should send their resume and three recommendation letters to Dean Follmann at dean.follmann@nih.gov. We plan to interview candidates in January 2025.
