Non Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor Position – Missouri S&T

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for a full time, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor position which is anticipated to begin in Fall 2025. Opportunities for future promotion within the non-tenure-track ranks are available. This position is renewable annually.

Applicants must show documented evidence of excellence in teaching. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching a wide variety of undergraduate courses in both mathematics or statistics. The typical teaching load for an assistant teaching professor is 12 credit hours per semester. Coordination of large multi-section introductory level courses in mathematics or statistics will be expected, along with additional service responsibilities. Participation in teaching-related professional development opportunities is encouraged and supported.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field.

Experience in teaching a wide variety of undergraduate courses in both mathematics or statistics.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.
The ability to perform both as a member of a team and in a leadership role.

PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field.

The ability to teach graduate mathematics or statistics courses as needed.

At least 3 years of full-time college or university teaching experience.
