Northwell Health is seeking highly skilled and experienced PhD-level statisticians to join the newly established Office of Clinical Research Statistics, a strategic initiative supporting Northwell’s enterprise-wide clinical research infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with investigators, clinicians, and research teams across departments to ensure methodological rigor, support grant applications and research projects through all phases.
Responsibilities:
- Applies statistical and health data science methods to research projects, with a focus on externally funded research projects.
- Provides strategic direction in research protocol development, biostatistics/statistics, database design/maintenance, and manuscript development/review process.
- Supports applications for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
- Responsible for the statistical analysis of research data.
- Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
- Participates in departmental and institutional committees and activities
- Provides technical guidance to statistical research staff.
- Provides education and training in statistical methods and applications, as needed.

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Doctoral degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field, required. (relevant experience during PhD training, postdoctoral work, or equivalent research roles will be considered)
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership/ management experience, required.
- Strong programming skills in statistical software, required.
- Strong programming skills in statistical software (e.g., R, Python), required.
Preferred:
- A record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- A track record of participating in external research funding (Co-I or PI), with a focus on clinical research experience, preferred.
- Strong collaboration and effective communication skills.
