The University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC) invites applications for a masters level biostatistician. The position reports directly to the Director of the UFHCC Division of Quantitative Sciences and the Biostatistics & Computational Biology Shared Resource.
Position Title: Biostatistician
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide biostatistical support to Cancer Center members.
- Conduct appropriate statistical analysis under the supervision of faculty biostatisticians.
- Design, test, implement, validate, and document statistical computer programming in high level statistical software packages including SAS and R.
- Produce reproducible data analysis programming skills.
- Write summary reports and create graphs for manuscripts and research proposals.
Position Qualifications:
- Level I: A Master’s degree in biostatistics or statistics
- Level II: A Master’s degree in biostatistics or statistics and 3-5 years as a data analyst working in a team-oriented research environment
Specific Job Requirements:
- Experience in the analysis of biomedical data.
- Experience in high-dimensional data management.
- Excellent skills using R and SAS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range: Final salary and level determinations will be made on the basis of the selected candidate’s qualifications according to the specific job requirements and posted ranges listed below.
- Level I: $60,000 – $67,000
- Level II: $66,900 – $74,600
